Powerful Differentiation Tools
We know that the vast majority of classrooms include readers and writers at many different levels. That's why Storyworks offers many differentiation tools—from leveled-texts to audio read-alouds and lots more. Try these resources out in your classroom today:
1. Leveled Texts
1. Leveled Texts
Lower-Lexile versions of the mini read, nonfiction, paired texts, and debate are available online. You can also print PDFs of lower-level articles, which look exactly like the on-level magazine, to share with your students.
2. Audio Read-Alouds
2. Audio Read-Alouds
We offer three audio tools:
- Read-Alouds, in which a Storyworks author or editor reads a story to your students—available in the Presentation View and ideal for modeling fluency and expression;
- Immersive Read-Alouds, in which the narration is accompanied by music and sound effects—perfect for boosting engagement and reading comprehension;
- Text-to-Speech, which highlights each word on-screen as it is read—helpful for striving readers and multilingual learners.
